FAQs
-
It’s an outdoor summer wedding, but with a fun, festival-style twist! Think live music, food, art, games, and relaxation out in the grass.
-
After driving up the long gravel driveway, you’ll spot the big red party barn—your go-to for food and drinks all night. To the left, there’s a large grassy field with a party tent where you can sit wherever you like. There are also easy hiking trails and fun hidden spots throughout the woods. Restrooms are located along the gravel driveway.
-
Whatever makes you comfortable! There’s no dress code, but the wedding party and parents will be in traditional formal attire. A few things to keep in mind:
It’ll be August, so please leave your winter coat at home.
When it comes to high heels, be warned—this is a grassy venue, and if your heel gets stuck, we will laugh (with love). Comfy shoes are highly recommended for walking and dancing.
-
Guests: Anytime between 4:00–6:00pm. The ceremony starts at 6:15pm.
Campers: Arrive between 3:00–5:00pm, or get with us to set up camp days beforehand.
-
Plenty of parking is available! We’ll have designated handicap spaces near the front, and someone will direct you where to go. If you’re bringing a camper, be aware that you’ll be parked a bit farther out to accommodate others who will be leaving the same night.
-
Shuttle details will be posted soon but expect pickups from Staybridge Suites every half hour from 3:30pm–5:30pm. Return trips will run from 8pm to midnight.
-
We have a hotel block at Staybridge Suites for one- or two-night stays. If camping is more your style and you have your own gear, you’re welcome to camp on the property! Quiet hours start at 1:00am, and total silence by 4:00am, please.
-
A couple options available:
Come set up your gear anytime the week before the wedding. We’ll even help set up your spot!
Arrive early (no earlier than 3 PM) to set up yourself. Please don’t show up at 5:30pm and expect to set up camp. The ceremony will be starting.
-
Yes, please! BYOB is absolutely encouraged. We know this might be tricky for out-of-town guests, so don’t worry—we’ll have some drinks available. The price? A good joke per beverage. -
For dinner: Mazunte tacos! Options include chicken, pork, and veggie tacos, plus rice, beans, chips, salsa bar, and more. Big thanks to our friend Zach for making it happen! Also, we’re keeping it casual—expect paper plates and plasticware, buffet style!
For dessert: S’mores bar! No wedding cake here, but if marshmallows aren’t your thing, feel free to bring your own dessert. -
No seating chart, but PLENTY of space including round tables under the party tent, camp chairs by the fire, high-top cocktail tables, and eclectic seating throughout. Bring a blanket or camp chair if you want to lounge in the grass!
-
We’ve got a 15-foot bathroom trailer with five stalls, sinks, and mirrors. There will also be a large, wheelchair-accessible portable restroom for those who need it.
-
Nothing is expected, but if you’d like to gift something, get creative or contribute to our backyard/house fund—we’d love to make our space nice for future visits!
-
The show must go on! Rain or shine, the wedding is happening. We’ll have the barn and plenty of tents to keep everyone dry.
